Welcome to the Wild New Forest website
Wild New Forest is an independent, not-for-profit, community interest company that was established in 2020. We are a trusted provider of ecological survey and research projects in and around the New Forest National Park, and are hosting partner of the New Forest Biodiversity Forum. Our mission is to conserve and restore nature in the New Forest National Park, which endures as one of the most biodiverse areas of lowland Europe with over 20,000 species of animals, plants, and fungi.
A common thread through all our work is a commitment to inform, involve, and inspire others. We inform landowners and the wider public through collection of high-quality ecological data to support conservation action, we involve young conservationists and volunteers in our work and provide mentoring and training, and we seek to inspire others by sharing images and stories of our nature restoration projects and the amazing wildlife that the New Forest has to offer.
